Luscious Brown Sugar Scrub
I have become addicted to making brown sugar scrubs for my face. The thing about brown sugar is that it is so soft!
I keep a jar of one of these sugar scrubs right in my shower (better to use PET plastic rather than glass if you're keeping it in the shower).
I let the warm water run on my face and then I gently massage some of the scrub on my face. I rinse it off and my skin feels silky and clean! Feel free to use it on your body as well; it is great for arms and legs.
There are all kinds of variations to the theme below, so feel free to be creative.
Put the Lime in the Coconut
1 cup (8 oz.) organic brown sugar
2 oz. coconut oil
2 oz. vanilla-infused jojoba oil
2 teaspoons aloe vera gel
30 drops Lime essential oil (Citrus aurantifolia)
10 drops Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis)
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl and then mix in the essential oils. Store in 2 oz. glass jars or PET plastic jars. I like to fill the jars ¾ of the way, as this product can leak if the jar is too full. Fills approximately seven 2 oz. jars.
Other scrubs I make regularly:
Warm and Radiant
6 oz. organic brown sugar
2 oz. ground rolled oats
2 oz. palm kernel oil (butter)
2 oz. neroli-infused jojoba oil
2 teaspoons aloe vera gel
10 drops Sandalwood essential oil (Santalum album)
10 drops Spikenard essential oil (Nardostachys jatamansi)
10 drops Neroli essential oil (Citrus aurantium var. amara)
Purple Lavender
1 cup (8 oz.) organic brown sugar
2 oz. coconut oil
2 oz. vanilla infused jojoba oil
2 teaspoons aloe vera gel
2 tablespoons ground lavender flowers
20 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
10 drops Blue Cypress (Callitris intratropica)

What inspired you to start Heart Blossoms?
Heart Blossom Essentials was inspired by my sheer excitement with the plant world. What are some of your personal favorite products?
